Irisgrain privacy policy

In short
Irisgrain has no accounts, no ads and no analytics of its own. Your recipes, photos and camera details stay on your phone unless you choose to send them. The one exception is Google ML Kit, described below.
Stored on your phone
Recipes, slot assignments and camera profiles are kept in the app's private storage and removed when you uninstall it. Photo sessions are saved to Documents/Irisgrain, where they stay until you delete them.
Phone camera
The Frame tab and the live preview use the phone camera. Frames are analysed on the phone and aren't kept, except the photos you take during a photo session.
Location
Only used if you turn on Save location in a photo session. The app asks for one location fix per photo and writes it into that photo's files on your phone. Location isn't tracked in between and isn't sent anywhere.
Your camera
The app reads and changes the camera's picture settings over the USB cable. Nothing about the camera leaves your phone unless you send a camera profile.
Images you import
When you make a recipe from an image, the image is measured on the phone. The app doesn't copy or upload it.
Camera profiles you send
If you tap Email profile, your own email app sends the profile to notetkakerai@gmail.com. It holds the camera's make, model, firmware, USB ids and the settings it offers, but no serial number and no text such as an owner's name. We also see the email address you send from. Profiles are used only to add cameras to the app; we reply from that address if needed and delete your email on request. Saving a profile as a file keeps it on your phone.
Google ML Kit
Subject detection in the Frame tab uses Google ML Kit, which runs on the phone. ML Kit sends Google diagnostic and usage data: device model and Android version, app version, a per-installation ID, performance and error codes. It doesn't send your photos or camera frames. See Google's ML Kit data disclosure.
Purchases
Pro is bought through Google Play, which handles the payment under Google's own privacy policy. The app only asks Google Play whether this account owns Pro; we don't receive your payment details. To limit the free images, the app keeps a short fingerprint of each free image (64 bits worked out from its pixels, which can't be turned back into the picture) in its private storage on your phone.
Sharing and selling
We don't sell data and don't share it with anyone.
Children
The app isn't directed at children under 13.
Deleting your data
Uninstall the app to remove its private data, and delete Documents/Irisgrain to remove session photos. To have a camera profile email deleted, write to notetkakerai@gmail.com.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and on the policy page. Questions: notetkakerai@gmail.com.
